Just Love On Your Dog This Valentine’s Day!

Hey Woofa’s,

This Valentine’s Day I say – Just Love On Your Dog!

Why do we have to run around madly trying to figure out what to buy the ‘new’ love in our life or the ‘old’ love in our life?

Or be depressed when you have no-one to spend it with?

Then the pressure is on as to how to spend the day/night, should we do a lunch, a dinner???

And yes it must be romantic!!!!

Is the present your bought going to be received well??

Blah, blah blah blah………………..

Call me cynical but SERIOUSLY why are we putting so much pressure on ourselves?

When the love of our lives is sitting right beside us, with fur and four legs.

WHY SHOULD WE JUST LOVE ON OUR DOGS?

The simple answer is – they give us unconditional love.

Our dogs don’t care what we look like on Valentine’s Day (or any day for that matter).

They don’t care whether we buy them a present or not!

Dogs are just happy spending time with us!

And that doesn’t cost anything.

Spending time with your dog just chilling or doing something active, whatever works for you both is what Valentine’s Day should be about.

Take commercialised stress that is caused by Valentine’s Day and people out of the equation and just love your dog more.

Your dog is not going to judge you on Valentine’s Day (or any day).

There’s NO pressure to perform, no expectation, just be there with them doing your favourite thing.

VALENTINE’S DAY WITH YOUR DOG!

As I said there’s no pressure here when you spend the day/night with your dog!

You could –

  • have dinner with your dog at home;
  • go out to a dog friendly cafe with your dog;
  • hang at the dog park/beach/their favourite spot;
  • watch your favourite show on the couch;
  • sleep on the bed or couch with your dog;
  • buy them their favourite food/treat and buy yours and eat them together;
  • get matching pj’s;
  • play fetch or with their favourite toys;

Basically do what makes you and your dog happy……………..who cares about the rest?

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

Take the pressure off this Valentine’s Day by spending it with your dog.

They are the epitome of Unconditional Love!

And that’s what Valentine’s Day should focus on.
