Spaghetti Dogonaise

Spaghetti Dogonaise is a nutritional recipe with meat and vegetables that your fur baby will enjoy.  With the cooler weather it’s a great way to warm up your fur babies belly.

We had Spaghetti Bolognaise ourselves last night and I thought hhhmmmm wonder if I could twerk this so Billy could have his own version and here we are.  Billy absolutely loved his Spaghetti Dogonaise he woofed it down quick smart.

This recipe only took 20mins and it made enough for 5-7 nights depending on how big your dog is.

Ingredients

  •  1 x 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 x zucchini
  • 1 x carrot
  • 1 x small sweet potato
  • 2 x eggs
  • 1 x tablespoon coconut cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup of peas
  • 2 x cups of broken up spaghetti
  • 1/4 cup of tomato puree

Method

  1. Place tablespoon of coconut cooking oil in pan and melt.  Add mince and cook until lightly browned.
  2. Grate carrot, zucchini and sweet potato and add to pan, stirring in.
  3. Add peas, stir in.
  4. Crack eggs and add to the mix, stirring in thoroughly.  Turn down the heat to low.
  5. In a separate pan, boil water.  Break up the spaghetti into 5cm pieces (so it’s easier for your fur baby to eat) and add to boiling water.

Spaghetti Doganaise

  1. Once spaghetti is cooked add to the mince and veggies and stir in.
  2. Add in tomato puree (only a small amount, enough for small flavour) and stir all together.
  3. Let it cool.
  4. Place in appropriate amount (depending on your dog’s size, portion will vary) into your dog’s dish and see how they like it.
  5. You can place the rest in containers ready for the rest of the week or freeze them.
