Christmas is HERE!!!

Whether you were ready for it or not, I feel like this year Christmas just plonked itself on the doorstep and said – ‘Here I am whether you’re ready or not!!’

This year for me has been ‘higgledepiggledy’!!  Nope it’s not a real word but it feels like how the last half of my year has been for 2025.

Which means, I’m rather late in getting sorted for Christmas this year.

Although in saying that Billy was the first to have Christmas presents bought for him.

Have I bought for anyone else, nope not yet and that’s completely unlike me?

Normally by now ALL presents have been purchased and would be wrapped and under the tree, not this year though.

I’m guessing 2025 will be the year (geez I don’t even want to say it) that I might be at the shops buying presents the last week leading into Christmas!!!!!!

Anyway, whether you are all organized for Christmas or not, I’d like to know if you are one to buy presents for your dog?

And are you one whose dog (via yourself) buys YOU a Christmas present as well??

If so, here are some ideas to get you thinking about what you can buy your dog for Christmas!

CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS FOR THE DOG!

1. New Calming Dog Bed;
2. A cooling dog bed – if you’re in Australia and the weather is hot for Christmas;
3. New Dog Blankets & Pillows;
4. Toys – balls, teddy, bones, frisbee (whatever they love and is suitable for their size);
5. New raised Feed and Water Bowls;
6. A huge packet of their favourite treats;
7. Doggy Outfits, only if they like wearing them;
8. Dog Christmas Chocolates;
9. Dog Christmas Cookies;
10. Doggy Life Vest or Life Jacket if they’re swimmers;
11. Beach Towel for your dog;
12. Big Raw Bone from the Butcher with a red ribbon;
13. New Collars, Leads, Harnesses with their names embroidered on them;
14. Doggy Hat and Sunnies for Summer – Beanies, Booties and Scarf for Winter;
15. Put together a Gift Box of all your Dog’s Favourite things;
16. New Dog Brush and Comb set, suitable for their type of coat;
17. Dog Friendly Cologne;
18. Doggy place mats for under the Dog Bowls;
19. Doggy Bandanas;
20. Treat Balls – or any toy they love that you can put treats in;
21. New Tag for their collar;
22. Christmas Bauble with your dog’s name on it for the tree;
23. Homemade Christmas Dog treats;
24. Christmas Stocking with your dog’s name on it;
25. Make up a voucher vowing to spend more time with your dog;
26. Custom make a Doggy Sign with your dog’s name and picture on it;
27. Dog Pram if they can no longer go out for walks;
28. Put a tennis ball in a sock as a homemade toy;
29. Doggy Footwear, for summer or winter;
30. Pet Water Fountain for their drinking water;
31. Take them on a trip to their favourite places – dog park, dog beach, dog cafe, doggy play date – whereever it is they have the most fun;
32. Gift box subscription – I think Kong and Bark Box do this;
33. Treat dispenser – so when you’re out you can see your dog on the camera and dispense a treat for them;
34. Interactive dog bone toy;
35. Their own dog sofa;
36. Doggy ice cream;
37. Doggy travel bag that holds their stuff too, for holidays;
38. Mentally stimulating dog toys;
39. A summer pack – doggy rash/swim shirt, sunnies, sunscreen, beach towel, life vest etc;
40. The promise to spend more time with your dog;
41. Voucher to the dog groomers (if they like their Groomer lol).

I know I keep saying this but it’s true, the good thing with dogs is, they’ll love anything you give them because they’re easily pleased.

And as long as you spend time with them they’ll love you no matter what.

WHAT BILLY IS GETTING – ssshhh don’t tell him!

We have bought Billy –

1. A small soccer ball that will probably be annihilated on Christmas morning;
2. A Doggy Christmas Hamper with dog toys in it;
3. New raised food bowls on a fancy stand;
4. Doggy Chocolates;
5. Doggy Treats.

So far that’s it.

If I’m out at the shops and see something else, there may be a few more things added.

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

There are only 9 days until Christmas Day!!

If you haven’t done any Christmas shopping yet, I hear you.

But you better get your butt organized and off to the shops you go.

Even if you say you don’t have anyone to buy for, if you have a dog, you have someone to buy for!

AND they have to buy you something as well…………..don’t forget!
