Veggie & Chicken Mince Mix!

This meal is ready in 25mins max and is really easy to make for your fur baby.  I use three vegetables, carrots, zucchini and sweet potato, which are rich in vitamins B, C, D, E and K as well as rich in calcium, beta carotene, potassium and folate, nutrients and antioxidants, in other words, very good for your fur baby.

Ingredients

  • 2 x 500g chicken mince
  • sprig of parsley (good for fresh breath)
  • 1 x sweet potato
  • 1 x zucchini
  • 2 x carrots
  • 1 x teaspoon of coconut oil

Method

  1. Place teaspoon of coconut oil in a pan and melt.  Add chicken mince and cook until lightly browned. (Billy doesn’t like chicken mince raw)
  2. Wash down vegetables, grate or finely dice (or place in a food processor), whichever works for you, so long as the vegetables are in small pieces.  Place into the pan with the chicken mince and stir.
  3. Break up small amounts of parsley and add to the mix. Stir until ready.
  4. When ready, turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool.  Once cooled to say room temperature, add to your fur baby’s dish and bag the rest into snap l lock bags or containers to store in the fridge or freezer.  I also add a small amount of dry food into the dish.
